Portfolio for admission into a program architecture

For successful admission to the programme of architecture must provide a portfolio with work to assess abilities and creative skills of the student.

Today this profession is in demand in many countries. Specialty combines different fields of knowledge – art, science and technology. Students during training, embracing a wide range of training programs: from mathematics and logic to the visual arts and disciplines related to the creative industries. This diversification of the process of education enables graduates to quickly make a career not only in the field of architecture, but also in various related fields – business, industry and technology.

How to create a successful portfolio?

1. Presenting work

3. Description

Work must have a short and clear description: the project type, year, technique, where and on what occasion was done in the project.

4. The presence of sketches and drawings by hand

Most architects believe that their profession is absolutely necessary, the ability to do quick hand sketches. So be sure to include the sketches in the portfolio. In addition, these drawings show the course of your thoughts while you work on the project.

5. The presence of a certain system in the portfolio

A good portfolio is not a collection of disparate works, and is a connected and logical to the story of your creative development. Try to establish a system by which you place of work. Start with strong designs and finish them, but in the middle of the portfolio must be less successful projects – so University professors will be able to form an objective opinion about your abilities.
