British independent service of admission of students (UCAS) reported a record for all history of existence of the University of Surrey the number of applications for admission to the University. The number wishing to study at the University has increased compared to the previous year by 24%.
The success of the University of Surrey in attracting students distracting from the overall picture of demand for higher education in a country where over the last 12 months showed zero growth.
The TOP-5 list subject undergraduate courses, which reported the greatest increase in filings compared to last year include: English (74%), the economy (66%), business (62%), computer science (58%) and specialty biochemical (57%).
The increase in the number wishing to arrive in Surrey for postgraduate education amounted to 65% compared to last year.
Dr David Ashton, Vice-President and member of the admissions Committee Surrey believes that the growing popularity of the University among students caused by the excellent quality of teaching, a large percentage of employed graduates and a high level of student satisfaction with the University. The increase in the number of applications for admission is observed for the fourth consecutive year.
For the University of Surrey year was a very successful edition of the Times and the Sunday Times declared it the "University of the year" in the General category and the criterion of "Best student experience". Surrey was also ranked in the TOP 10 UK universities in all three main British systems of evaluating schools.

According to the latest survey on the level of student satisfaction, the University ranked 5th place – 92% of students were satisfied with the University.
