The University of York have soared by 17 positions in the ranking of the best universities in the world

Each year the academic and scientific community eagerly awaits the publication of the results of the QS World University Rankings - perhaps the most authoritative ranking of the best universities in the world. Traditionally, British universities take the good position despite severe competition from schools in other countries, especially the United States.

York University is one of the leading universities of the United Kingdom - this year has seen impressive take-off, rising by 17 positions and occupied 103-e a place. In total the rating includes more than 800 institutions of higher education.

University staff made an incredible amount of effort to occupy such a high position in the QS World University Ranking for 2015/16. Recall that the University of York was founded just over 50 years ago, but has already become one of the most prestigious universities not only in Britain but in the world.
