24.06.10. The rating of ratings of universities of Britain

To give a snapshot of how the higher education sector is treated in national publications UK, beginning with the 2008 edition of "times Higher Education" is the annual "Rating the ratings". This year it was designed by crediting universities high 30 points for first place in the rankings of Newspapers the times (Good University Guide), "the guardian" and "independent" (Complete University Guide). For the second place are accrued 29 points, third place 28, etc. the total score determines the overall position of the University. The first three places went to Oxford University, Cambridge University and king's College London. As in 2008 and 2009, the University of St Andrews is the highest rated Scottish University. University of Robert Gordon (36 position) was recognized as the highest-rated among the new universities.
