Film students from around the world will showcase their work at the Wales Millennium Centre in a unique partnership which brings their work out of the university and into the heart of the Welsh arts scene. Now in its eighth year, the three-day Student Moving Image festival is held at the University of Glamorgan’s ATriuM campus and Cineworld cinema Cardiff and culminates in the awards ceremony on Friday, February 11. This year’s events include a session by gonzo journalist Jon Ronson (author of The Men who Stare at Goats); the acclaimed visual artists and “makers of meta science Fiction” Semiconductor; composer David Julyan (talking about his score for the film Memento); and the premières of five visual poems about Cardiff commissioned by the festival.
