14.12.10. The UK's first University College of football business

According to The Independent, one of football clubs, founded in 1888, the English football League, FC Burnley, located in Lancashire, plans to open a Football University.

This will be the first higher education institution of its kind in the UK. Partner of FC Burnley is not yet named University. The official name of a new specialized institution - the University College of football business (University College of Football Business - UCFB). It is planned that at the initial stage at UCFB will be taught three-year undergraduate programmes (LLB and BScs) in the field of football law football business, Finance, marketing, media, and international football business. The educational program will include a guaranteed internship. For foreign students there are two one-year preparatory program (access courses). Interest in study at the University College of football business, already expressed by the students from different countries of the world. Classes will begin in September 2011.
