University of Glamorgan material scientist, Professor David Antonelli has been awarded £302,844 by the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) for a project that will look at the ways in which a number of metal oxides can be used to improve the efficiency of fuel cells. Professor Brian Hobbs, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research added, “This grant is excellent news for Glamorgan and demonstrates the regard in which Professor Antonelli’s work is held. Only 30% of applications to the EPSRC’s materials panel are funded so it is all the more significant that this application was ranked first.” Read full text
