The University of East Anglia took the honorary third place ranking by frequency of citation of scientific worksrelated to ecology and environmental protection. The data given by Thomson Reuters in the study, "Key research indicators" (Essential Science Indicators), suggests that tests by the University scientists in the last 10 years was quoted 13388 times 640 scientific works. Thus the University of East Anglia was in this area third in the country after the universities of Oxford and York, and 24th in the world. Environment and ecology is a compound of scientific fields, including biodiversity, climate change, environmental toxicology, fishery studies, hydrology and water resources, of plant science, forestry, soil science and Zoology.
