Economic faculty of Moscow State University is the largest of all faculties: it on 4-year undergraduate program enrolled approximately 2,300 students, and for master's degree (duration 2 years) – about 650 students. More than 450 people trained in postgraduate study of the faculty.

In 2011, the Department celebrated the 70th anniversary of its existence. Over the years he has made impressive progress: immediately after the formation in 1941, there were only 28 students, 6 teachers and 1 chair. Today the Department consists of 409 teachers and academic staff, of whom 92 are doctors of Sciences and 218 candidates. The Department has 21 faculty, 14 laboratories.

Who can enroll in the budget and paid places

The budget places, in addition to Russian citizens, can do students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. The citizens of these countries must pass entrance exams and are enrolled under the same requirements that apply to applicants from the Russian Federation.

Citizens of other countries can study at the faculty on a contract (paid) basis. Their acceptance is based on a competitive system.

The direction of "Economics" - 9 training programs:

• 2015: the competition ranged from 4.1 to 7.1 per place depending on the training program
• 2014: competition ranged from 3.1 to 5.4 people in place depending on the training program

The Management - 8 training programs:

• 2015: the competition ranged from 23.6 - 30.6 people per position on most sought-after training program (5 programs) to 1.7 – 7.8 people in place for other programs (3 programs).
• 2014: the contest was about 22 people on demand learning programs and about 1.5-7.0 people in place for other programs.

The cost of education

Information about tuition fees in 2016 will be provided by the University in June 2016. In 2015, the cost was (for Russian citizens and foreign citizens):

Bachelor's courses:

• Economy: 380 thousand rubles per year;
• Management: 390 thousand rubles a year.

Master's courses:

• Economy: 360 thousand rubles per year;
• Management: 365 thousand rubles a year.

Entrance exams

Bachelor
For admission to undergraduate applicants provide the results of the 3 exams in the exam (mathematics, Russian language, foreign language or social studies, depending on program of study) in any year between 2012 and 2016. In addition, you must submit to MSU an additional written exam on mathematics. All exams are assessed on a 100 point scale.

Foreign citizens may choose to provide the results of the exam or pass the entrance interview in Russian language and mathematics.

Master
For admission to the masters students take the English exam and special parts (the discipline, depending on the specialization of the training program). Foreign students take the same examinations as the students from Russia.

Program 2 diplomas in "international business and development"

The program "international business and development" provide for the education at MSU and a foreign University-partner. Upon completion, graduates receive 2 diplomas.

The students get education in 2 universities:

• 1st year: at the faculty of Economics of Moscow state University
• 2nd year: in the well-known in the world of International business school of Jonkoping in Sweden.

Each year the program enrolled 30 students. Education is conducted in English. Price – 11 thousand euros per year.

Graduates of the program are in demand worldwide due to the exceptionally high standards of teaching. The knowledge gained on the program "international business and development", also enable to successfully develop their own business – every tenth graduate creates startup even during training.

For admission to the program must:

• Have a bachelor's degree.
• Successfully pass the entrance exams in economic management and English language.

Documents for admission to the program are submitted in June, and entrance examinations are held in July.
