26.06.10. Interdisciplinary prize and medal to a scientist from the University of Bath

Professor Barry Potter Department of pharmacy and pharmacology University of Bath was awarded the interdisciplinary award 2010 sand outstanding achievements in the field of bio - and medicinal chemistry. This prestigious award of the Royal society of chemistry (RSC) recognizes the work accomplished at the interface of chemistry with other disciplines. The award officially recognizes the comprehensive, interdisciplinary philosophy of research work.

The work, which received the award dedicated to the discovery of new anticancer drugs and the chemistry of signalling within cells. The study was supported by the national and international scientific cooperation of scientists-biologists, physicians, oncologists, endocrinologists, pharmacists, and is also actively working with the pharmaceutical industry.
