Royal honor of the faculty of political science, University of Essex

The faculty of political science, University of Essex (University of Essex), established less than 50 years ago, was awarded the prestigious Queens award Regius. Only two of the Department of political science of the universities of great Britain was awarded this award for the last 100 years.

The rector of the University of Essex Professor Anthony Forster said it was a huge honor. "Our Department has been at the forefront of research and education for half a century," he said.

The speaker of the house of Commons of the British Parliament, John Bercow, a graduate of the faculty of political science of Essex said, "My years at the University of Essex was truly a stimulating and happy, working with the outstanding team of teachers of the Department of government, faculty of political science. This is an impressive and well-deserved achievement that in less than 50 years Essex has created an enviable international reputation in the field of science and I congratulate the University with the award Regius".

Only the Queen has awarded 12 awards Regius various universities in the UK in commemoration of its 60th year anniversary on the throne.
