Writes Milkround.com one of the leading recruitment sites for young professionals the UK, employers have put the knowledge of foreign languages second in importance to the possession of information technology in the list of desirable skills for job candidates. In a survey of 500 employers, the recruiters noted that possession of a second language gives candidates a distinct advantage in employment.

When the British, the most popular foreign languages candidates are: French (34 %), German (25 %) and Spanish (23 %) languages; also there was a growing demand for languages which appeared in Britain's communities such as Polish (15 %), Urdu (12 %) and Punjabi (9 %).
