What is the competition for a place in the master's course in Cambridge?

Competition for graduate programs at Cambridge University is usually 4 to 10 people in the place, with more than 60% of the candidates on many of the programs are foreigners. According to statistics provided by the University of Cambridge for the 2010-11 academic year, the average competition for the MPhil program amounted to 4.7 persons; or 48.3% of those enrolled came from outside the European Union.
