Hello, Remilia! Why did you decide to pursue higher education in the UK?
It was my lifelong dream is to study in England. United Kingdom - the birthplace of the English language. British - a model of English in its pronunciation, vocabulary and manner of speaking. Therefore, to improve the language there is no better place than the UK.
What program are you studying and what are your impressions?
I'm learning on the programme MA in Education University of East Anglia. The hardest part for me - writing essays, as the writing style in the UK is different from ours. Most valued critical thinking skills: must be able to analyze, evaluate and present their arguments.
Norwich entered the list of "Best places to live in the UK to 2018" drawn up by the newspaper The Times and The Sunday Times. What are your impressions of the city?
Norwich is a small beautiful city. There are a lot of historical sites and attractions. At the same time, it is a modern city. Experience a nice, cozy quiet town with its English atmosphere.
Free time in grad school, of course, very little, but still: is it possible to enjoy student life? What do you do in your spare time?
Yes, all the time. You need to read a lot and write. When given to find the time to walk around the city, learn its history.
Share, please, the most striking impression during the years of studying at UEA
Familiarity with the culture of the country, its people and characteristics. It enriches not only the language but also the worldview. It's really a great experience.
Thank you very much for the interview! What advice would you give for our readers?
It all depends on the desires and goals. If in addition to the education you want to develop the language itself, using it in different fields, live in it and feel it, then select a country language.
