Scholarships the University of Sussex for Russian-speaking students in 2016-2017

University of Sussex is one of the leading British universities and is located in Brighton, southern England. At the University study more than 14 thousand students from 120 countries. The University provides several types of scholarships for foreigners.

Chancellor's international scholarship

For 2016, the University of Sussex have identified 25 Chancellor's international scholarshipsthat are available, including students from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Scholarships are distributed among the main faculties of the University.

This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in graduate programs. The scholarship is paid for one year and its amount is 50% of tuition fee.

The rector's scholarships awarded to students who demonstrated outstanding academic results in the previous stages of learning. Applications for participation in the competition for scholarships must be submitted before 2 may 2016 for students beginning training in September. The winners will be announced after the 3rd of July 2016.

Scholarship SussexExcellence 2016

The scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the programs of the first higher education, and stands out for his outstanding academic achievements of students before enrolling in the University.

The size of the Sussex Excellence scholarship is £ 3,000 for the first year of a three-or four-year program of the bachelor. Funding is available in the following form:

• £ 1,000 cash and £ 2,000 in the form of discounts for housing and living expensesif the student rents accommodation owned by the University;

• £ 1,000 cash and £ 2,000 discount on tuitionif the student rents accommodation owned by the University.

For most undergraduate programs at the University of Sussex, the procedure for obtaining Excellence scholarship does not require application for and participation in the contest – the scholarship is awarded automaticallyif the academic results of the student satisfy the minimum requirements of the University.
