Competition for graduate programs at Cambridge University is usually 4 to 10 people in the place, with more than 60% of the candidates on many of the programs are foreigners. According to statistics provided by the University of Cambridge for the 2010-11 academic year, the average competition for the MPhil program amounted to 4.7 persons; or 48.3% of those enrolled came from outside the European Union.
Also, as in other universities, in Cambridge, there are more and less competitive programs: program of archaeology typically receives more than 80 percent of applicants, for programs in Finance is less than 3%.
