What is the Russell Group?

The group "Russell" (Russell Group) is the elite Association of the best universities in the UK. Today the group of "Russell" is composed of 24 universities that are of the highest quality of teaching, brilliant academic track record and extensive ties with government and business structures.

The Association was established in 1994 and received its name from its first meeting place of the (then informal) representatives of leading universities of the country - the Russel hotel located in the area of Russell Square in London.

The share of universities of the group "Russell" accounts for more than 2/3 of all research grants in the country, and more than 50% of all awarded in the UK doctoral degrees. Research conducted by these universities have international recognition. All this makes graduates of the group "Russell" is in demand in the labour market.
