The University is proud of its past: in 1858, John Ruskin opened a School of Art in Sidney Street, Cambridge, laying the foundation for the institution which grew to become the modern Anglia Ruskin University. Today, Anglia Ruskin University is one of the largest Universities in the East of England with a student population of 40,000.Start your educational journey at Cambridge Ruskin International College (CRIC) in a seamless pathway course right on the campus of the Anglia Ruskin University. CRIC students benefit from guaranteed entry into an Anglia Ruskin degree following the successful completion of an undergraduate or postgraduate pathway programme. There is no difference between CRIC and direct Anglia Ruskin students: all students are given a University ID card from the first day and access to all of the same facilities.
An undergraduate pathway is a single course comprising of three or four stages of study. When you successfully complete the pathway you will be awarded a Bachelor’s (Hons) degree from Anglia Ruskin University. A CRIC postgraduate pathway provides you with valuable insight into postgraduate-level studies in the UK. Most importantly, it will equip you with the appropriate knowledge and skills you need to excel in your chosen taught Master's degree.
The University has more than 200 undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as PhD to choose from. All applicable courses benefit from outstanding staff and facilities, which have ensured a success rate of 90% of its graduates finding employment or continuing education within 6 months of graduation.
Among the top ranked subjects: Allied Health Professions (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Radiography); Applied Social Work; English; Music; Nursing and Midwifery; Philosophy; Psychology; Teacher Training; Theology and Religious Studies, were rated 'Excellent' by the Sunday Times University Guide.
The University's Lord Ashcroft International Business School has developed a course with Barclays Bank Plc. The Department of Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing has a long-established relationship with some of the UK's largest retail opticians, including Specsavers, Boots and Vision Express. And finally our Biomedical Science and Applied Biomedical Science courses are both accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science.
Main campuses are located in Cambridge and Chelmsford, both within an hour from Central London by train. Cambridge is only an hour from London, by train, and can be reached via the M11. Chelmsford offers quick access to London, only 30 minutes by train, and good road connections to the whole of the UK.
Both cities were rated in the top ten best places to live in the UK. Anglia Ruskin’s campuses are right in the centre of both cities, with state-of-the-art learning and recreational facilities available for all students.
Cambridge Ruskin International College (CRIC) has offices in both locations offering everyday help and support. Depending on your study plan, you may spend your entire university life in one location. In some cases you may be required to change campuses, which will give you the opportunity to live and study in two UK cities.
